David Romanelli took a yoga class in 1996 and was hooked for life. He said, "To know that one could achieve such a calm, relaxed state without well, ah, reefer...was a lifechanging revelation." At that very instant, he wanted to commit the rest of his life to spreading the word that there's a better way more natural state available to each and every human being. So along with some similarly inspired friends including Topo Ranch founder Alex Kump, David moved to Phoenix in 1998 and opened a chain of yoga studios which busted thru yoga's stereotype and made the practice more accessible. To further his mission, David joined forces with Katrina Markoff, founder of Vosges Haut-Chocolat, and wine expert Angela Gargano, and created the Yoga + Chocolate and Yoga + Wine experiences. He has traveled extensively since 2005 sharing how everyday passions (ie chocolate, wine, and music), when embraced mindfully, become gateways to the present moment. But taking things even a step further, David realized "you just can't get everyone to do yoga, but you can get everyone to discover the power and beauty of a deeply present moment. That's my mission." David has compiled his notes, themes, tunes, and ideas into one all-encompassing, very irreverent guide.
